I was born in 1969 in Macedonia, a biblical land where wine has been cherished for more than 3,000 years.
With Croatian roots—another proud wine country—wine has always been part of my history, my present, and my future. It is my world, my oyster, the place where I was born and most likely where I will die. My true love for wine began not simply through more than twenty years in the wine and spirits business, but thanks to my WSET mentor, Mr. Maurizio Colia from Tuscany. His passionate way of speaking about wine and its many styles filled my ears—and my heart—with inspiration, and I knew I had to continue my education further. The next step took me to Bordeaux, the heart of French gastronomy and wine. There, under the guidance of Ms. Fanny Darrieussecq, I discovered the finesse of terroirs and the beauty of wine’s diversity. With her mentorship, there was no turning back—I set my sights on completing my WSET Diploma, which became my three-year wine adventure in London under the renowned UK education system. |
Today, I live in Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia, where I wear many hats in the world of wine:
