At the outset, we would like to emphasize that MASOM Training Programs are not exclusively intended for sommeliers.
Alongside professional education, our programs also nurture wine connoisseurs, individuals who play an equally important role in the development of domestic wine regions, in raising overall wine quality, and in building a strong oenogastronomic culture as an essential part of regional and national identity.
For this reason, we greatly value the interest of every wine lover and are particularly pleased to welcome younger and less experienced consumers who wish to enter the world of wine with curiosity and openness.
The world of wine and spirits is vast and complex, and its study requires time, structure, and dedication. Through the MASOM educational framework, this fascinating universe can be explored systematically and progressively, across several clearly defined stages. Our program is structured into multiple levels, each offering the opportunity to gain specific knowledge and qualifications.
In addition, we are continuously expanding our curriculum to include related fields such as beer, cigars, cocktails, and spirits, recognizing that these disciplines together shape not only a well-rounded sommelier, but also a true hedonist with cultural awareness.

THE WORLD OF WINES
Foundations are the most important, regardless of what we build on them. Through this initial level, in two consecutive days, we will lay the foundation of our future knowledge, and we will do it very simply and clearly through the several practical exercises set in seven key chapters:
The examination comprises a multiple-choice theoretical paper plus a short elementary practical service test.
The pass mark for each part of this examination is 70%.

- Elementary practices in the vineyard and wine making procedures
- Principal grape varieties
- Wine types & styles
- Professional wine tasting
- Storage and wine service
- Interactions between food & wines
The examination comprises a multiple-choice theoretical paper plus a short elementary practical service test.
The pass mark for each part of this examination is 70%.
The fee for the MASOM Wine Server course includes a course e-book Introducing The Wines & Wine Service Techniques by MASOM Programme. Candidates successfully passing the examination will receive one-year free MASOM membership, Certificate and a lapel pin.

ONLINE OPTION
The candidates who are unable to attend the above-mentioned course in the classroom, we offer the online option of the "The World of Wines" course through four webinars. For this type of training, it is important to note the application deadline in order to have enough time to send the necessary samples (WTB - Wine Tasting Box) to your address. We offer this type of training exclusively for domestic candidates. The content of the course is the same as in the classroom.
