Dear Candidates,
This advanced course, created with great care and passion, is designed for professionals and dedicated wine enthusiasts who wish to deepen their understanding of the world of wine.
The program focuses on exploring global wine styles as expressions of terroir together with the typical grape varieties that define the most important and recognizable wine regions worldwide. Through this approach, participants gain a clear understanding of why wines taste the way they do and how regional identity is translated into style.
At this level, the course also explores the typical appellations of each wine region, enabling participants to understand the message carried by wine labels and to recognize the identity, hierarchy, and stylistic expectations of the world’s most famous wine regions. This knowledge allows for confident navigation through appellation systems and a more informed interpretation of wines in both professional and consumer contexts.
The course includes an extensive overview of renowned wine regions, winemaking processes, and the factors shaping wine character, accompanied by a more in-depth and structured wine tasting analysis. Tastings go beyond basic sensory description, encouraging analytical thinking, style recognition, and a deeper interpretation of quality and origin.
This Advanced Level represents the "alphabet" of the wine world, a fundamental language that allows you to read, understand, and communicate wine with confidence. It is an essential foundation that enables meaningful knowledge building and prepares participants for progression to the next, third level of wine education.
Enjoy the course and consume responsibly!
